Welcome to Much Wenlock Cricket Club

Much Wenlock Cricket Club is 142 years old. They still play at their original ground, the Linden Field, which is the site of the rebirth of the modern Olympics.

The Club continues to expand. The Firsts gained promotion to Division One in 2005 and to the Shropshire Premier League in 2007. The Club started a second team five years ago who have won promotion from Divisions Seven and Six of the Shropshire League in successive years and will now play in the new Reserve Division Two. The 2009 season saw the creation of a third team who won Division Seven of the Shropshire League in 2010.

There is a successfull and growing youth section assisted by a cluster of qualified coaches in the club.

The ground has sightscreens and covers. The pavilion was extended in 2009 to meet the requirements of the Shropshire Premier League and it is hoped that a new pavilion will be in place for the 2013 season.
